Keywords: These are terms considered the main component of a listening query/Boolean. These include brand/ campaign/ topic terms such as hashtags, handles, and all possible variations.

Listening: One of the key features on the Radarr by Genesys platform that helps customers monitor and analyze conversations and discussions happening on social media platforms. This involves tracking mentions of specific keywords, topics, brands, or products to gain insights into public conversations, mentions, sentiments, trends, complaints, feedback, and competitor/ industry activities. This helps businesses and organizations understand the audience better and make well-informed decisions based on the collected data.

Sorting options in Listen dashboards’ Conversation tab

  • Impact: Based on impact (weighted average score for likes, comments, and shares based on their perceived value in different social media platforms)
  • Engagement: Based on followers, likes, comments, and shares

Filter options in dashboards

  • Duration: Timeframe of the data you would like to view (date and time can be customized based on requirements)
  • Location: You can drill down the data based on the country you are looking for (please note locations will be tagged based on the post’s account privacy settings, other data will be tagged as unknown)
  • Platform: Online data sources configured on Radarr to pull in data, mentions, comments, and posts.
  • Language: A language specific to the region identified automatically by the system based on the characters and alphabets used e.g.: Japanese, Chinese, German, etc.
  • Publication: News and media publications/websites (e.g., The Straits Times, New York Times, etc.)
  • Entity type: Through information provided by social media platforms, Radarr by Genesys can tag posts according to entity types such as:
  • Person – If the account has information that indicates the post was published by an individual. If Gender information is provided, accounts are tagged with either a Male or Female entity. It is also possible that an account is identified as an individual, but Gender information is not available, so it is tagged as “Person-Unknown”.
  • Non-Person – If the account is identified as a Brand or News publication.
  • Unknown – If entity information is not available.
  • Sentiment: Sentiment refers to the emotional tone or attitude conveyed in online posts. It serves as a gauge for understanding people’s feelings toward a brand, product, service, or topic. Radarr by Genesys uses natural language processing (NLP) to identify, calculate, and allocate sentiments to each post that is captured on the platform. Machine learning is applied to the allocation of sentiments and based on user input; the accuracy of sentiments can be improved over time as well. Each post is either marked as positive, negative, or neutral and involves the algorithm studying the combination of keywords and phrases within each post to mark it appropriately.
